Wilma exhibited her artistic talents at an early age, and her pre-school experiences relied heavily on finger painting rather than her communication skills.
She began work in the children’s textile and garment industry after she graduated from Parson's School of Design in New York City. In 1997 she started her own independent line of greeting cards, Heavenly Greetings. The company helped launch her designs into the licensing market.
Wilma, whose expertise has always been in the children’s market, has had her work manufactured in a variety of products including baby bedding, baby clothing, furniture, prints, scrap-booking, books and more. In addition, she finds infinite inspiration for her artwork surrounded by her six-year old son, Sergi, two Norwich terriers, Abby and Teddy, and the local deer, occasional skunk, and, of course, raccoon that sometimes come to visit.
